Made in Germany | The first CO2 free computer center

Computers - and especially internet use - use up huge amounts of electricity - five percent of the world electric power, according to some estimates. Electricity costs are on the rise and its production goes hand in hand with CO2 emission. Now Strato AG has become the first company in Europe to offer internet users an environmentally friendly access to the world wide web.

To do that, Europe's second largest web hosting service has set up an energy-efficient computing center. With the help of economically designed parts and intelligent computer architecture, Strato has been able to lower its electricity bill by 30 percent. From January on its current will come exclusively from hydropower. CEO Damian Schmidt says that will allow Strato to offer internet services that produce no carbon dioxide at all. Dont assume that ONE person creates that much energy, but MIllions
