Speed can only come with time and practice. I'm nowhere near where I wanna be yet, and I still put in a lot of practice. Metronomes come in damn handy as well. The only way to get better is to practice as much as you can.

awesome double bass. what kind of pedal you use?

I use a Pearl Eliminator, belt drive with blue cams, and tension is just above half way. :)
