  • @Jeffreyrno everything i have i busted my ass to buy. im too proud to take money from people. maybe you should try working and you can have nice stuff too

  • @Jeffreyrno well good for you. unfortunately i cant afford that here yet. you get .5 acre lot for 300k and taxes at 10-18k a year its not possible on what i was making. Finally landed a decent job last month so hopefully things will get better for me. Theres no reason to assume that just because im young that my parents bought my truck. dont be such a douche

  • @elitecssplayer Semi's synchronizers don't work the same in their transmissions like pickups, cars, and jeeps do. That's why you double clutch in a semi. My dad used to not use the clutch in his semi and neither did I until he went to a trans shop and saw how badly that actually tears up the trans and told me about it and it'll do worse to your jeep because the synchronizers in your jeep are set up to sync the gears in your jeep as soon as you engage the clutch.

  • @DevinSchaefer Well I'll tell ya what, go to a tranny shop and ask them to show you and explain to you what happens to a transmission when you float the gears like that.

  • Like other people have said your truck has synchronizer's not sliding clutches like semi's have and if you don't use the clutch to shift your truck you are wearing the springs in the synchronizer's which will result in your transmission grinding into gear. Also you are wearing the clutch lining on the shift forks not to be confused with the clutch disc in the pressure plate.

  • @griz4020, if anything it will actually prolong his clutch life. by floating the gears, his clutch isnt being used and, if done right, the tranny doesnt grind any gears. I've done this thousands of times on all my stick shifts and havent lost a tranny yet.

  • I see you obsiouslly have a newer Cummins that should be interesting tohear my lay one was a 99 I dont know alot about the newer ones I had the old in line 6

  • if you ever do decide to go with stacks on that it will definatlly improve the sound I didnt do stacks on my last Cummins but had strait out back "Longhorn pipes" back than I couldnt afford to do the pipes but my current Diesel an oldschool Ford 7.3 has stacks 5 inch right now but I may go to 8 inch ones

  • @johnnyjoezcat these tranny's aren't set up like a semi. Semi's don't have synchronizers as these tranny's do. You engage the clutch to synchronize the gears, shift, and disengage the clutch and take your foot completely off of it. If you don't, you'll wear out the shift rails prematurely.

  • @griz4020 you can shift these like big rigs bud way better on tranny stay of the clutch as much as you can

  • The practice of floating is more about timing. Theres no magic shifting system on a tractor trailer that makes it any better. The biggest differemce is gear ratios and timing. Diesels have a shorter rev range which helps to make it easier to match, even in this case. Gasoline engines are trickier. The thing that damages is when you are doing it right. Slipping the clutch takes the load off of the trans from the crank. Otherwise, nothing different happens inside your trans.

  • Don't like country music, but I so wanna drive one of those
