  • David, you are looking at the whole picture. Your opponent (who I think does a really good job in this debate) is looking at a single brushstroke.

  • Thanks, Billy. You are right, my opponent does a great job. He is our school's debate-team coach and teacher of speech & communication. He truly is a master debater. But yes, I tried to approach this in a whole-picture sort of way... as that's how I approach life and God.

  • "Even the best science cannot discover what a thought is".

    I would reword this to "Even the best science has not discovered exactly what a thought is".

    Alas too many comments of this nature are allowed through. The argument from ignorance. Just because we dont know something now do not presume to a) suggest we never will or b) assume that it makes YOUR answer any more correct because your opponent doesnt have one.

    An answer is not correct by default simply by being the only answer
