ME102 Project - Fall 2009 at UC Berkeley. Team of 5 students designed and built a GPS tracking turret system. The turret will point either a camera or a directional antenna at the coordinates of a GPS transmitting device. Mike Sontag carries a small GPS unit that receives and transmits his coordinates using a Ardupilot arduino with a Ublox GPS antenna and Xbee radio module to the turret where a Groundstation arduino board controls the pan and tilt servos on the turret Contracted by the Vehicle Dynamics Lab, its intended to film autonomous airplanes and maximize signal strength in low visibility conditions.
