i love when people criticize style of racers at this level, like hand dropping and backseat skiing (not to say it was done here though). these guys have perfected their style to such an amazing level they make it their own
not a fan of grange, i like the austrian and american ski styles better, but gotta give props to him, he shredded here and is a damn good skiier
The phantom move is the combination of flexing (bending the leg at knee joint) the outside stance ski to release and finish the old turn and lifting that same ski off the snow to transfer weight to the outside new stance ski. When it's lifted it is also tipped to the inside of the turn. It is taught by tipping the inside foot to it's little toe edge.
Phantom move is not new but is part of the learning of Harald Harb's Primary Movements Teaching System. Google Harb Ski Systems for more info.
