Um, if helmet to helmet is such a big problem, they can use external padding on the helmets like the player from the 49ers does. helmets are shiny weapons. quit blaming players for helmet to helmet bull. They are given weapons are are stupid to not use them in a combat sport. Modify the outside of the helmets and there wont be such a problem with it. 2 hard objects bounce really hard off each other. put a little exterior on the helmet and the time of impact would be greater, reducing injury

people get killed every week cuz of this 3 weeks ago a high school kick returner from spokane died because he hit with his head down, and the previous week we were playing cedarcrest freshman game and the kid came in with his head down and my friend hit him the kid was airlifted to hospital with a spinal injury and a severe concussion shrewbob really doesnt know a thing

its the momentum that causes injury when you hit helmet to helmet the momentum causes injury. with padded on the outside it wouldnt make any difference but make your head a heavier more destructible object. and wtf do you mean by a combat sport?

it doesn't matter it'll only cushion the blow to the persons head it won't stop it from moving the persons neck and possibly causing damage to the persons neck and spine
