  • Love the "Great this and Great thats"! Classic!

  • wouldn't the electricity from the electric chair switch travel through his arm and make complete contact? Also they didn't cut the guy's hair and didn't add a wet sponge to the headpiece.

  • George was and is a hero of mine. Despite the hokey stories he always played Clark straight, proving you could be mild mannered without being a dufus. I liked his Clark as much as his Superman. Chris and Brandon were never as good

  • excellent, George Reeves played the part with an edge, he was a talented actor.

  • That Superman was way more badass, he really beat the people!

  • @ttt8699 I've seen the scene where he ducks many times. And I'm pretty sure it was the stunt man (not George Reeves) who ducked. I don't know why they used a stunt man for part of that fight scene, but I think he's the one who didn't want to get hit by the prop gun.

  • I love the old Superman series so much I bought every episode on 10 dvd's off eBay. Worth every cent.

  • Excellent compilation, the early episodes had a suspenseful feel to them up to the point when Superman arrives. In the Fleisher animated series, Clark would always say: "this looks like a job for Superman", in these episodes its "Great Scott". In the later animated series by Filmation, it shows Superman actually stopping a train with his hands. In this series, two episodes, "Shot in the Dark", and "The Perils of Superman", he does encounter trains, but uses other tactics to stop them.
