  • As a middle-aged English walker , I suddenly got this . Googled to find out what it was , then had a brainwave and tried YouTube for advice . Your video made real sense . Used your exercises and I was back to normal in a month . Thanks a million , I was in a lot of pain and hobbling badly . Paul.

  • @pkearvell : Thanks for letting me know my video helped you. I'm really glad you're out of pain!

  • Yes, the stretches should be effective for you.

  • Becky Thank you so much for making the little film re plantar fasciitis.

See we English people can learn things from our American cousins!!!

After many years of running I suddenly got it. What I like about your film is it shows how to do the exercises and is not patronising or trying to sell product.

I also have a dog called Toto - if you know the one in the Wizard of Oz(before your time) and she comes and steals my iced water bottle.

    Best wishes Steve(Surrey, London, England

  • @MyJabberwock : Glad you were able to learn something new! Nope--no selling of products here. Just trying to help. Oh, and by the way, The Wizard of Oz isn't before my time ;-) . Watched it many times as a kid. I'll take it as a compliment that you thought I was too young to know about it, LOL!

  • Hi Becky!

Thank you sooo sooo much for these tips.

I have been running many years, in all kinds of shoes...no problem...but last week I did too much running after a one year break and suddenly my foot hurts SO much! Not only in the morning, but I can hardly walk, the foot is swollen and hot the whole time! If I use ice, exercises and your other tips... can I cure it for good or will I be probably stuck with this my whole life? Thanks so much,

    Cebela

  • @Cebela11 Hi Cebela, I'm so glad the video was helpful. The fact that your foot is swollen and hot concerns me. I think icing is a good idea, but this sounds like something that needs medical attention right now. If I were you, I'd make an appointment to see your physician before continuing with the suggestions I have in my video, as you want to make sure you know what you're dealing with first!

  • Becky

Thanks for yout email. Have found that arnica cream if rubbed in and massaged before bed seems to help.

  • My pain seems to be more in the heel area. Are the stretches you demonstrated effective there too. The pain I have doesn't bother me most of the time - only when I bend my foot forward a certain way and then it is a stabbing pain. Thank you for your video.

  • Thank you sooooooo much !!!!!
