@ziminaiman and just saw you were talking about the remixed soundtrack, duh. It's not like they got Coltrane and Miles Davis together and recorded it, but it's far too swing and chill for a Megaman OST. That was my point.
@BareknuckleRoo OH no I was referring more to the Playstation X3 rendition. It was a phenomenal opportunity to make the music more hype and they couldn't have blown it more. I agree with you on X3 though. A lot of the compositions were great but if they were better executed it would have had better impact. X2 was more simple but it got the job done. I can't put a single flaw to X1 though. Well-written, great instruments, and the echo effect of all the sound effects was perfect.
Not sure where you heard jazz in the remixed soundtrack, but the main issue with X3 in particular is the instrumentation, or lack thereof. X1 and X2 at least used a more varied set of instruments in the music, but X3 used the exact same guitar for almost every single stage's music. The lack of variation and poor choice of instrumentation compared to previous games in the series is why the SNES version of X3 is generally considered to have the worst music.
@BareknuckleRoo More like BETTER music quality :P I know what you're saying, but those remixes were absolutely abysmal. It was like a light jazz rendition of the high-octane music we expect from Megaman games.

@grassinigrassini
...this isn't the PSX version. You can tell by the lower music quality that it's the SNES version.
