Come help the University of Maryland break the WORLD RECORD FOR LARGEST PILLOW FIGHT!!!
The GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS, PEPSI CORPORATION and many other large companies have globally recognized this amazing event. We are trying to break the current record of 3,706 people held by The BBC. So, the event is open to EVERYONE ON CAMPUS!
This is also a joint philanthropy event with the socially based profit organization DREAM VILLAGE (Dream Village uses a combination of picture books and an interactive web portal to educate children about important social, economic, and environmental issues). Raffle lotteries will be provided, with the grand prize of having your name and likeness serve as the basis for the main character in the next childrens book that Dream Village creates.
Entertainment will be provided, but BYOP (bring your own pillow!)
Also, make sure you get your tickets in advance for the SGA Spring BBQ! The event will be held that evening from 5:00 - 6:30pm near the fountain on McKeldin Mall. Check out the menu and other details at http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=58865034666
Also, this event is the opening event for Greek Week, with points awarded to the fraternity and sorority with the highest attendance. This event also serves as a campus-wide competition to all students living in any of the residence halls. Which ever dormitory has the highest attendance (based off the percentage of total population in dormitory) will receive a party for the whole resident hall in The Terp Zone!
As a picture for this event there is a liability waiver that you need to print out, sign, and BRING TO THE PILLOW FIGHT
