You will need:
1 can reduced sodium black beans (15oz.)
1/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 cup stevia
6 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
Vanilla extract
1 unsweetened baking chocolate square (optional)

This recipe makes 16 brownies.

With protein icing:
57 calories
1g fat
8.3g carbs
6g protein

Without protein icing:
42 calories
0.8g fat
7.9g carbs
3g protein

  • I am sitting here enjoying the brownies right now and believe me when I say they are good. My protein icing never turns out right. I just end up with a gooey mess but the brownies are awesome. Thanks again Michael.

  • where do you get the stevia?? I can't find it!

  • please add the fiber content in the nutrition content. Fiber is important too not just protein.

  • Cannot wait to try this recipe. I am also fascinated about the Protein frosting and will watch it immediately. I also want to try a gluten free flour in this recipe. For others making this, ovens vary and you dont want to overbake any type of brownie recipe. If they mold fast, because there aren't a lot of preservatives then they should be refrigerated.
