*UPDATE* Quite a few of you are saying that the boy was not his son. Also read it in an article. My bad if I was one of the people sending false information. Nonetheless, my opinion still stands. ESPECIALLY if it wasn't even his own child.

Well if u would do more research like u stated u would know he did the boy exactly the way they do men in the military...Devery only did that boy the same way he was done in the military & i promise u when that lil boy grows up he will respect Devery more than anythnig and say thank u for being there and taking the time to teach me what's right and what's wrong...I feel if more men would displine there sons there will be less black men in prison than it is today...

@MusicChristmas11 If more parents take care of, nurture, and discipline their kids like they are supposed to, then people who are not the parents of these kids won't have to be doing a job that isn't theirs. Especially in the way that Devery did.

@MusicChristmas11 If you actually read the description and/or watched at least 30 seconds of the video, you would see that I apologized for putting misinformation about the boy being Devery's son. However, I'm not apologizing for saying my opinion whether he is blood to you or not. Whether or not Devery is in the wrong, it was stupid of him to take pictures, RECORD what he's doing, and then have the nerve to post the video up on a site that ENCOURAGES niggardly behavior.

Child abuse is not limited to one race or one group of people by a longshot. However, the African American community needs to face up to the fact that some of the things that are acceptable child-rearing practices to them are out-of-step with the rest of the country. Not all African Americans beat their children with belts. However, I would say that a majority do. Some things need to change.

@realitysense I agree that he did the wrong thing and took it way too far, but to compare him to a pedophile molester? I think those are two very different issues.
