haha, I remember when the gecko didn't work for Geico. I guess Geico realized that they were losing business since everyone kept calling the wrong number and figured that they might as well hire him.

@BEQ101 .......the guy who does the voice of the gecko is english, its not fake. and it sounds in no way australian. i dont think you know what australian people sound like

I don't think this voice was used for very long, and it wasn't until I read the comments here that I remembered how he hated Geico in the early days. I guess that's a gag that would get old pretty quick and got old, it makes more sense for him to be a spokesreptile.
