In late 1977 a small production house in east Burbank produced this long forgotten short about a pair of funny looking bikes.

  • Can they go up hill?

    I am guessing no!

  • @madarehgallag Yes, they can go uphill! Depending on the model, some are excellent climbers. The Rans X-Stream in particular is an amazing climber, and a team of X-Stream riders did very well in last years Race Across America (RAAM), posting much better climbing times than many upright riding teams.

  • Recumbents is the best way to get around!

Is it possible to know what kind of brake handles are installed on the low racer?

  • @fxbertrand Yep, they're Profile Design brakes. Originally designed for Triathlon bikes.

  • I'm pretty sure you're WAY off with the '70's bit. Seems like the T-Bones were invented somewhere around 2004?...anybody else?

  • Yep, sometimes a bit is just a bit :)

  • Yep, it's a little 'bent (pun intended) but history can be fun :)

  • Yes, that's EXACTLY how everything was back in the 70's :)
