As an Athiest, i have to say, at least in America, the most respectful and good-hearted people are in my opinion muslim. It seems to me as though they do not force others into their beliefs like christians here do. I dont believe in a god, and i find organized religion to be absurd. I have no problem with theism, but to argue over religion is stupid. At least these people are open to ideas of science i suppose

@ivanlagrossemoule A better comparison would be Israel and Islam. In Christianity, Catholics attacked and killed and burned at the stake people who printed the Bible in English or just were Protestants in general. Protestants defended themselves and finally, Catholics were even numbers or outnumbered and became peaceful. In Israel, Islam attacked Jews immediately in 1947, but lost.

Islam means complete submission to Allah. Science is at the opposite pole: it does not submit to anybody’s authority, including Allah. Science is based on observations, data, and experimentations: it respects NO authority, which includes Allah too. To put it in another way, since anything that does NOT submit to Allah's Authority, is un-Islamic, science , by its very nature, by not taking Allah’s Authority, is un-Islamic. So why confuse science with Islam?

Explaining about Science to a Muslim is the same as Explaining Quantum Theory to your 4 year old kid...

Both don't fucking understand what the hell you are talking about or refuse to accept the Reality and continue to believe their own Fairytales to be true...

@Golgafrinchamdent I'll give you a faire comparison. Since I live in a country with a past filled in religion wars between protestants and catholics... Why did those wars stop happening? Did they stop because people stopped being catholics and protestants or because the countries evolved and became educated with a better situation?

It's the same with muslims, the religion itself is NOT the problem.

@Golgafrinchamdent According to the bible he should kill me for some of the things I've done. And if we were christians living in a country with those horrible traditions and such a bad situation, he'd maybe kill me.

Those problems are NOT related to Islam. People who are not muslims do female circumcision and honor killings and most muslims don't do that.
