  • my saz cuts off after like 10 min off bass no clipping.... no heat nothing..... i think my voltage drops too low.... need to get big 3 done and getting a kinetik hc800 for now....

  • @eselilchoco13 Turn your gain down before you really hurt something. XS power FTW :)

  • i have a 1992 toyota camry, and my stock alt is 80 amps, and i did the big 3 in 1/0 wire and have a good battery thats an everstart maxx just like yours in this video, and on my pioneer HU it has a built in volt meter, but it says that at idle im only doing 13.8-14.0 volts, and when im driving im only charging at about 13.7 volts, so how the heck do u manage to get 14.2+ out of a 60 amp alt?? is there something that i missed!!

    can you help me please?

is my pioneer HU volt meter maybe wrong???

  • @davidcallier My battery is poo lol make sure all your connections are solid, bare metal contacts. And every car is going to be different, so I couldn't really tell you exactly why we have different reading. are you using the same volt meter? who's to say mine could be off or something, but from what i've seen this voltage is average. what was your voltage before you did the big 3?

  • What kind of electrical system are you running? - I have a stock 195amp alt on a 93 explorer - I want to run a Sundown Audio 1500D but I think that I need to rig up a secondary alt underneath the hood along with some sort of car audio battery inside my truck as well. How many amps does that Sundown Audio 1500D draw peak? - I figure I pull 80-100 amps easy just running my truck with the lights, wipers (it rains a lot), and maybe AC/Defrost ...

  • @djmrr this is with my stock 60 amp alt. i might of had the heat on, i dont remember. 195 will do you plenty good, but more/upgrading batteries wont hurt. get a volt meter like mine and see what your voltage does. if it does drop too much then get some upgrades. i still need to get a new battery up front. Remember to do the big 3 in 1/0 wire. that shold help a lot.

  • @thecrxbeats whats the difference between kinetik and xs???

  • @thecrxbeats

well all my connections on my big 3 are sanded and clean down to bare metal, and nice and tight connections too!! and my voltmeter is built into my pioneer HU!! but idk if mine is accurate or not!!

and before the big 3 my idle was at 12.5-12.7 volts, and driving it was at 13.5-13.7!!

after the big 3 upgrade my idle voltage was at 13.8-14.0, but when im driving it is only at 13.7-13.8!!

the big 3 helped but the specs on my car says that my voltage can be up to 14.4, and its not?!?

  • good to know its rated at 12.8v :) thats why i love sundown. even at 12v your still pushing 1.5k atleast.. i have stock factory 60amp alt, stock front battery, big 3 in 1/0. 1/0 to back xspower 3400 and 0 gauge to amp. i rest at like 13.8-14.4 while driving and idle (since its getting colder) but during summer shit was like at 13.5.. i dunno how low i will drop. i just ordered the amp today.

  • @WhatsCS It will change with every vehicle. get a meter and check what your system does, wont be the same as mine.
