@Wilmahun Did you find the answer to your question? im wondering the same thing. what will happen to our memories and thoughts of self being? if we cease to remember then we may as well have not even existed to begin with. may as well go on a rampage and kill out of frustration for going through all this for nothing!

Burt, I think I can understand that spirit is oneness and has no end and no beginning. If souls are striving to return to spirit why did they separate in the first place? Where did the souls come from in the first place? I find the thought of life everlasting quite scary!! Doesnt it get boring?

i find that your definitions of soul and ego are to much conceptional.
who is making such destinctions between soul and spirit.
it s the same to me.even ego is part of the spirit or soul.

Part 2?

So you could say "spirit is GOD." Even the bible says God is LOVE, and Everything just like you said in this video. I guess you could call it the "holy spirit."
-
And "thought" is what creates "separtion" from what "is." Or in other words, "spirit." The "present moment."
-
So "I" am not the spirit. Spirit just "IS." It is "awareness" itself. When you get to the state of awareness itself there is no "thoughts." So there is no thought of "I" or "you." Everything just "IS." There is no separation. Does this sound correct?
I can't help (my ego) wonder sometimes if when finally becoming one with spirit, if we will lose our unique personality of thought. Will we be absorbed and, in effect, cease to exist? I realize this is my soul thinking but it still happens. Will I lose myself?

Dear mikwid, there is no self to lose because it never really existed. What we 'lose' is the belief in separation.

Don't agree, soul and spirit are defined by Hebrew, Latin and Greek as they same word. Spirt and soul means" to breath". Don't take my word for it look it up in the dictionary.
These are just words but breathing I can relate to

Dear David, it is understandable when we rely on labels from a book but a direct experience can teach you more than the mind can ever know intellectually.

Think of soul and Spirit as the wave and the ocean. In Reality both soul and Spirit are one, however, the wave believes it is separate from the ocean and so strives and struggles until it realizes it is the ocean itself, the very same water. The soul seeks the Spirit without realizing it is seeking itself. Finally both soul and Spirit merge as Oneness.
