  • @screaminjimmy6V53T You can get tier 3 emmision compliance from this engine?I would have to see that one!

  • Our driver messed up a M113 wagon with one of theese in.. blew coolant fluid through the exhaust. was pretty nasty.

  • What is the weight on this engines and what series number would you need to use to get parts for them just in case you would like to convert a old mecanical one?

  • @CUTCAT55

There were a pair of 350hp DDEC Silver 6V53TIA's on ebay back in April.

The seller wanted $9,950 for each of them.

If it helps any, the seller's number is: 586-749-0600

Many of the internal parts will interchangeable between the older mechanical engines and the new electronically controlled ones.

The main differences are heads, blower (has no governor on it), ecm, injectors, block (it is machined differently), and some small proprietary stuff ...

Idle rpm is 500-600, and peak rpm is 2800rpm loaded, 3025rpm unloaded

It is a 2 cycle engine, V6, 53 cubic inches per cylinder, 318 cubic inch total displacement, crosshead pistons, turbo bypass blower, intercooler, aftercooler, electronic injectors, glow plugs, 400horsepower.
