  • Ye it would defitnally look good, lasers cutting holes and leave burned marks etc :)

  • How did you make that laser? that was awsome

  • Thanks, It was made in 3d studio max with the use of particles and post video effects.

  • @Xirtam86

So how sdid you make it so the lazer stays in a straight line using a prticle system? everytime I tried it I got nothing out of it accept what looks like a pretty stream of little energy balls rather then a lazer beam

  • @Jeffron27

You need an extreme high particle speed, and loads of particles. a trick to avoid the energy balls your seeing, is making the particles smaller, more of them, and give them bigger glows in video post.

  • @Xirtam86 ah cool but I've also had cases where somone is suppose to move in a certain direction while firing the laser, will it keep the laser straight?

  • @Jeffron27

Well to keep it straight its all about speed of the particles, if the distance is very large you may get problems and have to find a workaround. This method may not work in all scenario´s

  • Looks cool but the laser beam takes way too long time to reach the other ship, a laser beam is light, which travels at 300 000km/s so it would have been at the other ship instantly :)

  • @rada660 would make it more believeble indeed

  • @kingsukkelnoob soo true and also, to make a "real" miss when they miss, not hittign teh ship also xD

  • @Xirtam86 indeed ^^

  • i wish that in real EVE the weapons didn't always hit the same exact spot over and over again -_-
