At the recent Siggraph 2011, Steve Cooper, Poser Product Manager, demonstrated a new feature in the upcoming release of Poser 9: "sub-surface scattering" which allows light to penetrate and reflect off of surfaces like teeth and skin.

The new Poser 9 (along with Poser 2012) is set to release on Sept 20, 2011. There are some excellent pre-release sales going on. Check the SmithMicro site for details:

  • Reaaly good program, I got the pro 2010 version and it has a nice SSS shader too, but I can see there's room for improvements, I hope this new version will do the trick! ;-) Have a nice day

  • Is there a way to get this software cheaply I'm currently unemployed and can't afford expensive software, but would like to use this kind of software.

  • I just bought Poser 9 on a Black Friday deal, great price. I owned the 1st version or 3 of Poser and had a good time playing around. Now I hope to catch back up with the help of your videos . Thanks for the help.

  • @cgiwattgrrl99 in my hopinion Poser Pro 2012 is a lot better than 2010

  • poser9 better be fuking less buggy than poser8-cost me time and money using poser8
