Actually, Jerry Goldsmith (who scored Planet of the Apes) was offered the job to score this movie. He turned it down and thus this is why we have John William's amazing score.

Check out some of the other "remakes" on YouTube that people have thrown together for this movie. I can sum it up perfectly for you. One guy has a bass box playing rap in his trunk that will shake a foundation. The other has beautiful, breathtaking symphonies playing on his 6x9s. Which is better. Our current generation is so narrowminded, they would go for "awesome" bass. The educated go for emotional content. The trailer sums it up perfectly. RIP quality entertainment.

Superman the Movie has got to be the best one out of all the Superman movies. This movie trailer is also one of my all time favourite movie trailers as it sets the tone perfectly. :)
