if we have reverse alien tech, or highly advance air/space crafts, im sure we've already been to mars, perhaps we may even have bases on them already, and on the moon. ok, sounds ridiculous i know, but what if its true, would anyone be surprised?

Why can't all the countries that helped to build the ISS work together to go to Mars too?

The only New objective that would get the public to support of HSF would be a trip to Mars. Constellation was Apollo v2. So in 2025 or 2030 we get back to the moon. Yipie! exaclty where we were in 1969. But we're still no closer to Mars.
Mars is a 18 month trip. It isn't a 3 day trip. The design of the hardware is completely different for a Mars trip. Let's go to Mars!
