  • you're not walter/Zeus, are you? ...Walter P. ?.

Anyway, yes, Randy is an artist, not a clone. he has obviously studied Hedrix , from a sonic perspective , painting with sound, not just playing loud and flashy.

That was a big part of Jimi's world, and one area of his genius: pioneering new sound . I have no problem at all with Randy emulating these excursions and going on his own, withing the Stratocaster/Hendrix framework. It was , and always will be, a beautiful thing.

  • @sheltech12

Hallo - no - Ufo is the initials for my name Uwe Friedrich Otto.

    Walter is my family name.

And i totally agree - Randy is an artist of his own.

For some reason he decided to play Jimi´s music and he´s really fantastic at it ; )

  • Were I can download full concert?

  • @milojimx Hi - you can order the DVD on our website. We don´t have a download platform yet.

    regards -ufo-

  • Anyone one who says "clone" is talking of Science Fiction, cold and un-feeling. This "Man" is an Artist, unequaled in his field. He is so full of Soul, Passion and Feeling, he brings me to tears, because he understands how the human heart feels.

  • Excellent ,man i wish you guy would come to Charleston Sc on your next tour of the states , saw Randy at a club here in the early 80's hope to see him again soon , love how he captures Jimi you guys are Awesome

  • honestly, I love Hendrix and listen to him everyday. But I have to say that as time has gone by Randy's tone has evolved and at times surpasses the live tone that Jimi had.

  • When you listen to Beethoven or Mozart, or DeBussy, do you say about the artist playing "oh they're just a clone" of course not. There is the composer, and then the musician to play the composition. Reproducing the original as the composer intended is the greatest tribute. Randy is simply the greatest.

  • I think it's a crime Randy hasn't been invited to perform at the "Experience Hendrix" tour that has been going on every year for a few years now. The only reason I can think of is that if they have him play they won't need anyone else! Randy, absolutely love what you do! You give me goosebumps every time I hear you. Thanks! Chris

  • I saw Hendrix in concert three times in my life, the last time was ten days before he died.

In a live performance, Randy out performs the music of the original. Please don't seek my death for saying this, but Randy is so incredibly accurate with his renditions, it's like hearing Jimi again, but without all the ad lib, and all the mistakes. Thanks for the great work. Us children of the 60's grew up with the records and always wanted to hear them duplicated.

  • @Diogenes1360 I believe your opinion is bang-on. this guy is just... a genius. I'd like to think Hendrix himself could even like his work. He brings Hendrix's music the sonic quality (let's face it - those live recordings would never sound as good as this) and he does everything so well. those who say he's an impostor or an "imitator" well, I just don't understand them...

To play like Hendrix is one thing - to sing like Hendrix : quite another... Both: mind-blowing.

  • VERY GOOOOOOOOOD !!!!!

    Walter

  • Love the Bolero reference! :)
