It's Gonna Be Love [A Jemi Story] Chapter 18- Anger

~~With Joe~~
Joe was furious. If he had been any angrier, smoke would be coming out of his nostrils as he huffed. He stood just outside the door to the studio where he had a clear view of Demi and Sterling as they were waiting in front of their audition room. Demi was pacing and Sterling was just standing there watching her.

"Why is he just standing there? Why isn't he comforting her? Doesn't he know she'll go into a full-blown panic attack if she becomes too nervous? UGH!" He ran his hands through his hair and did some pacing of his own. "UGH! This is SO DUMB! What am I DOING here? She doesn't even care about me anymore and we're not even talking to each other! I might as well not exist."

"Talking to yourself, Joe? I hear that's a sign of craziness. But you're an artist, so you're a little crazy anyway."

"Selena?" Joe asked, turning around. "Where's Nick?"

"I sent him on an ice-cream run. We didn't get desert at the restaurant and I wanted some chocolate really bad."

"Just like a puppy dog," Joe said, shaking his head.

"What was that, bro?" Nick asked, quickly giving Selena her dish of ice-cream before it started dripping. "Seems to me the puppy has his girl while the dog doesn't. What are you even doing here? She doesn't care about you. Look!" Nick said, pointing behind Joe through the doors.

Joe turned to see Demi and Sterling kiss. He stared for a second and then shook his head. "Doesn't bother me," he said, but Selena took notice of his clenched fists.

Nick gave him a look. "What?!" Joe said, becoming defensive. "It doesn't! I'm so over her," he said, looking back through the doors. Demi and Sterling were still holding onto each other.

Selena came up close behind him and put her hand on his shoulder. "Then what are you doing here, Joe?" she asked softly as he stared.

Joe stared for another few seconds and then looked back at Selena. He tried to hide the tears in his eyes, but she still saw them and didn't say anything. "I'll let you know when I find out," he said quietly and quickly walked away before he started crying.

"Where are you going?" Nick asked, baffled.

Joe turned his head back around enough to yell, "Back where I belong!"

Selena watched him walk away for a few seconds and then turned back to see Demi and Sterling walk into the audition room. She said softly, "You belong with her."

~~With Demi~~
Demi was still nervous as she was walking into the audition room, but she took a deep breath and Sterling's hand on her back gave her some confidence. They went through their scene together, and the judges loved them. They immediately told them that the filming would begin in the next few weeks, and that they would receive their first script in the mail about a week before they were to report to the studio. She was so excited, she hugged Sterling until he proclaimed that she was going to squeeze the stuffing out of him. They kissed and he offered to give her a lift home. "Yes, please," she said, kissing him again.

~~With Selena~~
Meanwhile, Selena and Nick were hanging out in Demi's tour bus, waiting for her to come back from her audition. Selena was on the phone with her good friend, Taylor Swift. "Hey Tay! You know that new song you're going to release soon? I was wondering if I could borrow it."

"Sure Sel. What for?" Taylor asked.

"Demi and Joe are both trying to deny that they still have feelings for one another even though they aren't talking to each other and now Joe's with Camilla and Demi's with Sterling."

"Sterling KNIGHT?! I love him!" Taylor said, gushing.

"Not helping, Tay," Selena said, trying not to seem annoyed.

"Sorry. By the way, I hear someone breathing in the background. Is that Nick? Have you finally revealed your crush and won him over by telling him that you have posters of him all over the wall of your room?"

"Posters, huh?" Nick asked, smiling.

"HA! I knew it! Hi Nick!" Taylor said.

Nick laughed a little. "Hi Taylor."

"Okay, this is going the WRONG WAY. We were talking about Demi and Joe, remember, not mine and Nick's relationship!"

"So there is a relationship?!" Taylor screamed. "Congrats, Sel!"

"Thank you," Sel grumbled. "Now, the song?"

"They'll be a copy in your e-mail in about fifteen seconds."

Sel let out the breath she had been holding. "Thanks, Tay. You're a lifesaver."

"I know. Welcome. Call me soon, kay? I want to hear more about Nicky," Taylor teased.

Selena quickly hit the disconnect button on the phone.

Her and Nick sat in silence for a few seconds until he said with a grin, "Posters, huh?"

"Hush," Selena said, quickly dialing another number. "Now's not the time. We need to find your brother. I have a plan."
