In April 2008, His Holiness the Dalai Lama left Dharamasala India for the first time since the Tibetan uprising to join leading scientists, musicians, journalists, religious leaders, youth and children to teach and inspire compassion. Seeds of Compassion was the five-day event that brought compassion to the forefront of our lives and our daily communication. Working with John Vadino and The Production Network, Bardo Industries was the Event Creative Director and Marketing Strategist. We created the overarching event theme - "What Does Compassion Look Like?™", which was the cohesive thread throughout the five days of events. We led multiple youth-based initiatives, produced two benefit concerts and pre-concert dialogue featuring His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Dave Matthews, and NBC correspondent Ann Curry. We co-coordinated six film crews on the ground to capture the experience, developed and created the compassion stories, staged 10+ art exhibits at venues across Washington State including Seattle Art Museum, Bellevue Art Museum and first Thursday. We oversaw the creative experience of over 100 artists and musicians. Additionally, we served as a member of the Seeds of Compassion Steering Committee.
