  • Great, great stuff. Thanks much for posting, especially this and Rio. My tribute band also thanks you: you've been a great teacher!

  • @MXWest1, haha thank YOU! .-D

  • Thanks for putting this down, really means a lot. That bassline totally jams, do you know who played it originally?

  • @sduross; yep, Nick Beggs! You can find him on youtube!

  • Great stuff! Also, it makes you realise how much care and musicianship went into a lot of pop music in that era.

  • Perfect! Great job

  • @sprintbass you're right concerning maple necked basses, but the Wal Nick played on too shy was a black Pro series with a black pickguard and a rosewood fingerboard on a maple neck. Look for the pictures on Basschat.co.uk , since a BCer is the current owner of the bass.

  • one thing that is really important about this bass line and the bass is that im pretty sure that it was ALWAYS done on a maple neck...all the kaja things he did even before he used stingrays (he used a WAL) was always done with maple necks...i think maple necks sound brighter and are better for thumping and snapping...this is why this sounds so good and so true to the orginal..but this is my opinion.

  • You've got it! More Kaja Goo Goo songs...

  • @ato71 I found this video from your rendition of too shy. You should try it again! I had no idea how intricate the bass line for this song was.

  • Thanks ato71!

  • @JimShadyUK Right on, and the 70's are also affecting new generations of music fans and players.

  • Really an amazing job... THANK YOU
