Flying my new kite, a HQ Symphony 1.8, for the very first time at extremely variable (but mostly slow) wind speeds.

This is my first power-kite but I have flown with a few delta's in the past which made this maiden voyage, except for some small crashes, a walk in the park. At the time the wind picked up it was getting dark and we needed to go but I almost got dragged along a few times! (Which is of course the reason why you want to fly a power-kite)

  • Yeah I bought a HQ Symphony 1.8 for $85 and I haven't used it yet. It can go from 6/kph to 50kph (kilometers per hour) wind speed. When the kite enters the power-zone do a sharp turn up and give a tug on the line when the kite reaches the zenith. You will go soaring through the air.

  • Awesome :).. It's like a wired airplane with quite the acrobatic moves :D
