You can watch Butterflies online, how interweb-ness is that! Ester Brym followed six YouTubers for over a year to create the first feature film about YouTubers and their rise to, or fall from, fame.

I've seen the film at 3 screenings, and I think it's an excellent look into YouTube culture, community and just how transformative YouTube has been in the lives of thousands.

I cant see the butterfly movie on youtube in my country... =( Why cant Norwegians see this movie? Its not fair...

@Serine888 From what I understand, the movie is not yet available in all countries because the payment system YouTube has put in place is in a BETA mode, and not yet available in all countries. I'm sorry it is not currently available, I encourage you to ask the filmmaker @filmester if there is another way to watch it.

@Djohnsontexas I guess I'm surprised when people who watch and comment on YouTube vids don't consider themselves to be part of the influence.. I'm not sure where the negativity is coming from, but I maintain that YouTube and the way billions of people (not thousands) are using it has completely changed the way people communicate, express, create and interact. It's the people who are doing this, including you. Not everyone is out there to get noticed, there's a lot more to YouTube than ego trips.
