Northrad's 2009 Halloween Yard Haunt (Part 1 of 2)

The weather broke and the day turned beautiful and the frantic work began. Who knew once the Moon arrived this home would turn so evil so quickly...The transformation began... The change from 2008's Yard Haunt to 2009 was massive as well as the change from noon to 5pm. The house was on fire with sounds, motion and light. Huge thanks to my friend and neighbor Tony for helping out and catching some photos while I was busy at work. It was a blast and I didn't even get to execute all my planned ideas. Nobody could tell but Northrad.

Great lighting and setup! We had the same weather problems in Pensacola. But the moon, in the end, was wonderful.

I was very lucky in the end...some things you just can't plan for. Wish it was two days that way I could visit other yard haunts. Thanks to YouTube I can at least see others and share a taste of my Yard with others. Still haven't been able to capture the night and all the sounds that well. Thanks for the comments folks! It makes it worth my time posting vids.

Very nicely done - Loved the music selection also, and good effects with the fog, lighting and transitions....wasn't it great that the moon cooperated that night?! Thanks for sharing!

The Moon was fantastic. I was so lucky that evening. I had 3-4 straight weeks of a daily dose of rain and I could hardly put anything out in the yard...Halloween morning the wind was blowing so strong it would tear apart a dime store kite. Spent more time repairing props than getting them out. Rain stopped at noon and the wind calmed down. Halloween Miracle...not every idea made it out however...but was thrilled :)

...Thanks. I happened to be enjoying them all that evening when I observed on refreshes each vid systematically had increased by one rating count. Clicked on the profile name for the one that hadn't changed and the last login status was within 20 mins whereas others had been many hours or days. Won't say the account name but forgive and forget plus my logic could be wrong.

Loved working on this yard haunt and tried to "entertain and from the front yard" and that's all I aim for.

Great job and especially battling weather and time. I loved the pirate stuff, I always wanted to recreate the Disney steering, wind and lightning scene in my front window

but not yet. Cool weather miracle, 2 Halloweens ago the rain held off for the little tikes but dumped the rest of the evening. Cool smoke pics too.
