London relatively calm after Monday's night of mob violence, arson and looting - many shops and pubs close early and board up windows

Met Police decision to flood London streets with 16,000 officers - many drafted in from other forces - appears to have worked

Trouble flares in Greater Manchester and the West Midlands, with scores arrested in city centre disturbances

Reports of sporadic trouble in other English cities including Liverpool, Leicester and Nottingham where a police station was firebombed and 4 people have been killed in riots.

PM David Cameron says every action will be taken to restore order, with contingency plans for water cannon to be available at 24 hours' notice

MPs and peers recalled to Parliament for Thursday

I cannot recall a time when white people went on the rampage when a white man was shot or died facing the police, i.e. suicide, etc by the police..no-one rioted when Roal Moat died or Derek Bird..yet blacks riot everytime one of their species gets killed..they cry victimisation everytime..if a person has a gun and fires at police then the police have no option but to shoot

Riots are part of British history. Go and read a history book or ten you thick sods.

More people are killed by coppers (in custody and in the streets) than have been killed in rioting by rioters over the last fifty years.

The news can’t come to the realization that the reason for this is because a black man has been shoot dead by the police and most of the video footage is showing white people looting. It is more going on about this than what the news is saying. They broadcast what they want to broadcast.
