  • @ving320 He definitely has a more solemn voice, but I don't think the cover is bad at all. In some ways it's better, more melodic. You can hear her pain as well, if that's what you mean by "essence".

  • @smokeldogg I know what you mean. She pushes the notes too hard and there's no real emptiness.

  • It's a decent cover, but I still prefer the original. I can't believe how well PHM holds up after all these years.

  • @hitman5652 How can I ignore it when it's everywhere? I can't even turn on my radio without hearing some really crappy cover of a really good song. I've heard good covers, don't get me wrong. But if you're going to cover a song, atleast have respect for it.

  • I've heard both versions now, and i must say, Lacey did a pretty good job. I like NIN's better than this one, but it's still very good

  • Never heard the original song by NIN, but this is nice :)

  • @Pleachymomma or you could just ignore it.

  • nope....

  • She's trying too hard to sing, creating a fake emptiness. I wish my emptiness were fake.

  • I love the original, but this is truly an amazing cover.

  • nooo goood only trent can do this song and make it sound right
