@Hellsconsort I looked at the list of countries by GDP per capita and if I'm not mistaken number 33 on the list - the Bahamas - looks like it is. Jamaica is 88th whereas S. Africa is 71st. Hope that somewhat answers your question. I know GDP is not the be all and end all of progress but it was the easiest factor to look up.

@326Ka Are you so naive as to believe that there is a perfect government that is not corrupt somewhere?

US, UK, white governments are corrupt but so far as African corruption I don't think it's so bad. Here at least the lower levels are penalised and there are regulations, outside private company inspection. From what I'm lead to believe, corruption is right down at the bottom to the top in African communities. Or am I being unfair?
