@l1belula I don't understand your comment, I was always under the impression that this was a piece by Purcell. If not then who composed it? I would be very interested to know.

that IS a piccolo trumpet. it's the only trumpet with 4 valves. the 4th acts as a better in tune 1&3 combo.
