  • I was at this concert with a bunch of friends. We sat near the front just underneath a microphone that was placed up high on a pole. It was a concert in Grand Central Park in New York City. If I remember correctly it was Wollman's skating rink or some such thing. During the song Trilogy, it starts off with numerous gongs. Seven was always my lucky number. I told my friends I was going to yell out during the song. . So after the seventh gong I yelled out a vey neutral and safe "yeah".

  • @hakaka1 Wow, it was you in the age of 22 who was saying ""yeah" after those tam tams blows, a witness. Unreal to be there at the most beautiful popconcert of all times. I am impressed. I was only 10 in those days, living in Europe. I cut off this beginning of the track, because otherwise it would be longer than 10.59 minutes and would be refused for its length on Youtube.Sister Andrea between 1.30 till 3.13 - 4 minutes is the best guitarsolo ever played. Violinsolo from 4.05 is also great.

  • @hakaka1

I was young myself listening to the album and thinking....."I wonder who was that guy that yelled 'yeah' in that song?" He must be lucky to be there. That "yeah" is not just a call you made in concert but actually became part of that live version of the song.

  • at 2:50 is truly the sunlit path !

  • One of the most spectacular pieces of music Ive ever heard recorded...STUNNING, is One Word!

  • Passion through complexity. STUNNING.

  • Except for One Note, Pure and Easy! :)

  • Merci por tout---This is what I love,to read stories of you from .Central Park and their 3rd LP . live. Was it as loud as Mahavishnu used to play...in a park sound dissapears.Still.John is known to play if not loud...louder.Santana too...a sidetrack, but in Boise back in early 1990s Santana played so loud they cut the cords to the sound,....anyway,loud is my voice.Thank you for posting Trilogy.

  • @hakaka1 The song happens is in 7/4 time signature - it must be your lucky song

  • @guitpik This song puts me into a real in tune trance and takes me away! It is one of my most favorite tunes by Mahavishnu's Orchestra! The guitar riffs are just plain smoking....

  • @fabianidhesona lol you should first learn something about prog/fusion before write bullshit
