@kamelion7 You're not serious are you? Roger Webb was a good composer/arranger/musician, but his theme didn't have enough 'oomph' to carry a show like this. Johnny's broad theme carried the broad huimour much better.

This theme should not have been replaced for the less up tempo one which followed it. It was far more suitable for what was a fairly madcap show.

Me too. I'll never know what possessed Peter Frazer Jones to change from this bouncy big band theme by the legendary Johnny Hawksworth (he of Thames TV ident music fame) and go with that naff Roger Webb track.

I seem to recall some of the old Nokia mobile phones (e.g. 3310) came with this as one of the ring tones :-)
