Tainted Faith
In the shadows of dim moonlit alleys
no choice but to brave bitter cold winter wind
A concrete bed and a newspaper pillow
A mumble of prayer brings each day to an end
And God watched over
When love is only a dream life is a lonely game
For their unfortunate fate destiny's all to blame
Every morning awake to the rush of the traffic
A haze of fumes fill the air
Work the streets by the drive of their hunger
Alone and ashamed with hope that someone will care to ease their sorrow
What makes a man worth your love
Possessions or heart and soul?
And who are we to condemn those we dont even know?
Strangers with troubled eyes
Shattered emotions erupt silent cries
that flicker the flame of tainted faith
Trust is a word for the blind
living in poetry absent the rhyme
All in the tears of tainted faith
This is a really good song!
