@williwo You can't blame him for that. Geez! I mean he leaves one hit band for another and now BOTH still perform after what, 40 years?! With the door still open on both counts. =)) I bet he'd be the only way Journey truly reunite. If he came back then Perry with Steve backing him. I'm sure that's what the holdup in the 90's was for reals. That it wasn't right. Something was missing. Especially then with the 70's nostalgia in full swing.

@brothers3wisdom I was a bartender in columbus ohio at R & R USA a large club with rock and roll theme and greg came into town to meet Carrrlos santana for a promotional gig for new band. He told me the sotry of picking up Steve Perry at New York Metro Opera and riding around in a VW listening to him sing. the rest is history as they say

@fastfallingstar89 You're Probably right about that but on the Flipside that wasn't Perry's Demand to make he didn't create that band the only ones at that point who should have had the say in whether they continue as Journey was Neal Schon and Ross Valory it's THEIR band they founded it

Saw this lineup in Cleveland in 1978......This was the best Journey hands down......The others were good also but not like this.

@fastfallingstar89 Gregg leaving Journey had nothing to do with Jealousy. He was just tired of being on the road after 14 years. He had formed 2 highly successful, Platinum selling bands.......he was ready for a break, and to start a family. Thats why he left. He actually WANTED to have a main lead singer other than himself, and was totally fine with it
