@sleekpiano i meant to refer to this version of the song. meav's version will always be the first and the best... not including the muppet's of course :)

this has got to be the purest i've ever heard this song. SO beautiful. It reminds me a lot of the first show when they were all so new and innocent... i cringe whenever they start to put all the other stuff on it. i don't even know what to call it but it's very rare when anyone can do them in good taste. know what i mean?

@ladyearin Lisa does sing the lead with "And come ye back..." The high notes that Lynn sings are harmony until that last note at the end.
-
but the lead is not lisa, is Lynn, all the higher notes was her!!!

I was there! 7 rows back just to the right of center! This is the best version of the song I ever heard. The voices of angels

i love this version of Danny Boy, they made me cry when i saw them live.

I was very glad they decided to make this into a group song, it is so incredibly beautiful together. Their voices each by themselves is amazing, but this is Meav's song, I fell in love with it that way. I miss Meav and Orla. The group isn't the same without them. but, they still sound ethereal and amazingly beautiful.

Well the release date of the DVD and CD were planned in January, and this version of Danny Boy is on the DVD and aswell on the CD, I hope to have informed you enough.

I think some time early next year. Not really sure.
Danny Boy has always held a special place in my heart because Meav's version was the 1st CW song I ever heard. But when I saw them perform this back in Feb 2009 I cried because it was so beautiful. I loved "Somewhere" performed by CW because of the harmonies. but Danny Boy and 4 part acapella harmony brought me to tears. God bless of the awesome women of Celtic Woman.

WOW!! I think that is the BEST version of 'Danny Boy' I've ever heard!. Lisa was GREAT singing the lead on that, very touching and moving. I really appreciated all the highs and lows, and all the harmonizing on it, as well. God Bless you all.and keep it up, PLEASE!
