Slovenia surprised by qualifying for the 2014 Sochi Olympics after its seconds upset in Vojens, against host Denmark. Austria and Germany lead in Group D while Latvia is in pole position in Riga.

    INCORRECT. in the E group Latvia-France game France only qualifies if it wins with a TWO goal differential OR with 4 goals. Latvia qualifies with an overtime win OR with a 3-2 loss IF Kazakhstan does not defeat UK by more than four goals. A 2-1 France win puts K in the Olympics - as K will have scored the MOST goals of the 3 teams. The tie-break counts goal differential in the sub-group between the three tied teams. If still tied, goal differential including games against UK is factored in.
