Ultravert, you mistake the fact that unions suck for union workers sucking. People work hard all over this country, it's what makes this country great. The unions destroy the work force today by creating a lazy employee who thinks he is entitled to things he not. There is nothing wrong with busting your ass for a living. No one owes anyone shit, they go out and earn it every day.

This is nothing but big union propaganda. This CEO never states any facts to support his argument. Unions workers are less productive and drive up costs. And people who say that with out unions we would have children working in factories are full of shit. That's like saying black folk will go back to the cotton fields if you get rid of affirmative actions.

simple, it all comes down to people. greedy people on both sides. union or non union, it matters on the people at the top. working so long and getting shit for it, I dont think I have a life, work, eat, sleep, work ect. Unions can be lazy too though, that pisses me off cause the peaple who work hard gets shit. look at foxcon in commie china, form a union and go to jail for 12 years. they put nets on the outside of their building to stop people from killing themselves and 32 hour days for cents.

Not true!!! I was a non-union electrician, working under a licensed electrician who taught me everything. I joined the the IBEW. I was shocked at the laziness and the redundant safety precautions from the union workers. Union workers are like government workers, they take 3 breaks a day. Union workers are overpaid for nothing. I smoked all of these "union electricians" on my first day at work. They were in slow motion telling me to slow down. What a fucking joke! Luckily my old boss re-hired me

You pay peanuts - you get monkey's! Pay a decent wage, decent work conditions and a bit of say in how the job gets done and you have a productive, loyal worker, who will go the extra mile to get the job done - and done well!

I can't speak for all unions, but in the consrtucion field unions are far more efficient. Every unionized company requires all its journey workers at least 4 years of job related schooling and have the access to an almost unlimited amount of skilled workers needed to complete any job through the local union halls. The only reason a company would choose to go non union is so they can pay their employees less and offer no benefits. Who would you rather work for?

every union job I've had I worked with some of the smartest hardest workers ever, you have to be a smart and hard worker to be union thats what seperates union and non union..non union might have a hard worker but he's dumb as a nail, or might be smart but can't hack it physically.

@OFT94 Try actually looking up the study. It definitely shows that unions are 17% more productive, at least in the construction industry. Unions in any industry can boost productivity by decreasing turnover, by increasing motivation, and by coordinating workers and management. Not all unions raise productivity, and those unions are bad. But unions are certainly capable of boosting productivity, and many do.

So,from where I sit,I don't see how unions kill jobs or drive up cost.Like I said before,the studio makes millions.Its gonna have security no matter what.And they're gonna charge as much as possible too.They're not gonna say "Since I'm savin this $5,000 a month on security,I can afford to give better deals." That $5k wasnt gonna start another biz & create jobs.They've got mills.If they can,say,buy another studio & make millions,they're gonna.

I'm sure if the studio had a choice between payin these parasites $18 or cutting them out & hiring us directly at $11.50,what they'd pick.Or between $14 & $11.50.

BUT,I'm also sure that if they had to pick between payin us $10 or $11.50,what they'd pick.

So fuck it.Studio's gonna pay us as lil as possible.Let the parasites eat.Hell,they create a few more jobs.Besides,if the studio wasnt spendin that $ it'd just sit in the owner's bank account depreciatin in value as the economy tanks
