I feel that the special relationship between the Dr and SJS developed because Lis Sladen has the extraordinary ability to create great rapport with her male costars. Lis took the SJS character far beyond the simple original intent of a stronger, more outspoken female companion,
Her large screen presence in Seasons 11 thru 14, show that Lis Sladen's abilities impressed the DW production staff.
Her solid presence is one of the major foundations that created the DW "Golden Age".

God, I loved her. In the episode where David Tennant sees her again, he beams at the sight of her and I was beaming along with him. It was so wonderful to have her back. Then she was taken away from us again, this time for good. This is such a sad day. Goodbye Sara Jane, we will never stop missing you.

Goodbye, my Sarah Jane.
I love this video!!! I adore Sarah Jane, it's showed on TV in Hungary now and I fell in love with this series! I'm sooooo sorry that I can't / couldn't watch Doctor Who, unfortunately it's not as popular in Hungary as in Great Britain and it hasn't been showed in our country yet... But I've read everything I could find on the internet about the series - especially the Sarah Jane Smith parts... :D
Her hair was funny on Doctor Who... :D
This music is great as well! Cool video, I love it! :)

@KoszaSzello Thank you for your kind words.
Sarah Jane is a total sweetie; and I adore her both then and now. You said Sarah Jane is shown on Hungarian TV? Well, you'll see the newest Doctor, Matt Smith; this fall when he and the TARDIS show up on Sarah Jane Adventures!

Sarah Jane was more than a great companion to the Doctor. She was, and still is, one of WHO's finest characters, thanks to the efforts of the incredible Elisabeth Sladen.
Sarah Jane is essential to practically all of the 18 original WHO serials in which she appeared.
Such WHO masterpieces as Genesis of the Daleks, Pyramids of Mars, Brain of Morbius or Seeds of Doom would lose most of their great moments without Sarah Jane.
Definitely one of DW's best-ever characters.

Agreed. Plus, I think it was Sarah Jane Smith that the Doctor actually loved/loves. Well, Sarah and now Rose. I think David did a very solid job of capturing that, even very early on in his time as the Doctor.
Thanks for the comments.
