Your mig welding arc voltage and wire feed speed is the single most important setting that you need to set right. Wire feeding speed and voltage need to be balanced so that you get a nice clean burn and good penetration and weld fusion.

  • Finally, the information that I as a hobbyist welding nothing more critical than my lawnmower deck, brackets, etc. in a nutshell; back to my scrap pile for practice, LOVE IT!

    You have also go to make sure your earth/ground clamp is good and clean. And try to keep the gun cable as straight as possible for better wire feeding.

  • I am looking for information on welding flux-core 3g and 4g carbon steel just need to know the suggested volts and amps and what is the weave pattern for 3g and 4g. Yes I know the difference between mig and flux core two different welding process. any information would be helpful.

  • how to clamp 1 structural tube to weld it on its ends with 1 plate ,its a fillet weld but how to clamp to avoid distortion plus
