The Waco Brothers certainly have Nashville's number. The so-called caretakers of country music have supervised its desecration and homogenization to the point where it is no longer recognizable as anything other than repugnant urban hillbilly pop.
Thank the baby jebus for these few stalwart defenders of real country music like the Wacos and others - imbued in country's roots and take it in new, exciting directions. And a pox on commercial "country" music.
