So pretty much, Iran made it clear a strike against them will lead to bombarding the gulf countries, invading the hurmuz stripe, and opening a front war with 2 countries and 2 militias, countries iran and syria militia's hizbullah and Hamas. And that worked and it is the mean reason behind the delay of striking the iranian nuclear site, but unfortunately it cost the lebanese people 1000 live's and an entire destruction of their infrastructure.

The question here why Hizbullah waited 6 years to free their people? Why they didn't kidnapped israeli soldier in 2001,2002,2003, 2004 or 2005 why wait until 2006. It is really simple, in 2006 escallation of a preamptive strike against iran nuclear site was going to be conducted, and iran want it to show israel that this small militia with the small weapons they have can last 30 days and cause trouble, imagine what will happen if you rage a war against us. you will open the door of hells.
