  • That was nice, I agree, but it just doesn't cut it anymore. We're done telling about utopias. Sci-fi is has been growing up for the last 40 years and claiming its place amongs the significant works.

I understand if the new BSG is nog your thing, but don't say it's crap. It isn't. It's different from what we're used to see. But I think it's a good way for sci-fi to go.

  • If I must be honest I was a bit disappointed they didnt put this theme to the new credits

  • @championkhan i love cylons in the new bsg they are so human which is ironic

  • Go Cylons go!

  • @CallmeButton I personally did not care for the new BSG at first. Over the course of a season or two I realized what a fantastic series it really is. It is far greater than the original series. In fact, I might say the original took a good concept and made a very average TV series, while the new series grew the concept and execution both into an incredible story.

  • By what definition does BSG not fall into the genre of Science Fiction? please remember that sci-fi is a sub genre of fantasy. this show gives you a futurist (past?) setting, space and ground battles with cool special effects, moral and ethical issues, and tons of character growth. giving it a darker setting was also a nice touch.

  • and something else i tired to be homeless, find a way

  • Yeah, that was an interesting concept Asimov tried to explore in his work. Almost all of Asimovs robot stories are about the concept of the 3 laws that workable, but imperfect.

I think when you're exploring robots, you're somehow always gonna end up with a little Asimov in your work. He was one of the people who laid the basis on modern day robot-fiction.

  • @CallmeButton havn't read Asimov since I was a kid, but didn't he do a story about the three laws coming into conflict with each other? I can see some Asimov in BSG, also Blade Runner.

  • @orgilzrorgilzr

Well that's a bit presumptuous... it could be just a well groomed and dressed midget.
