http://www.egaertner.com/dpac/ A short demo of DPAC, the Dynamically Programmable Alarm Clock.

Connects to Google Calendar over Wi-Fi, and uses the data to automatically wake you up in the morning.

Designed as an ECE Capstone project at Northeastern University, 2010.

  • I need one How Much

  • @pinkprince3000 We're not planning to mass produce it at this time, but good to hear you want one!

  • @pinkprince3000 But with the parts we're using now, we can put it together for about $100. Wi-Fi is surprisingly pricey

  • Pretty cool!, how long did it take you to fully develop this?

  • @Twistx77 Thanks! The majority of development was done in about three months, some nights and weekends were spent before that familiarizing ourselves with the components.

  • I think if you kept refining your design and gui and stuff it could definitly be a product! I would buy one :D

  • I really love the fact that it checks how long it will take me to get ready and to the place for you..

I hope in the future we have something that is nationally used like (facebook) where we plug in all our private timetables and along with mobile gps locating our phones will be able to check if there were any cancellations like (bank holidays or if a teacher sent as a message saying they are not attending a lesson today) and than tell us how & when to get a move on.. the perfect autoplanner...

  • @dechicken lol good point. because its an electrical engineering project

  • It's very nice but why don't you make it out for blackberry and iphone as a "program" instead of building the entire thing?

  • Great work guys. Way to give a good name to us NEU Alumni!! When does it hit the shelves?? ;)
