  • why didnt they take G-CPET into a museum with the retro colours? wuda been great if they did...

  • wow look at the takeoff on that thing it's like a rocket! Gonna miss the 757s and wish them a lovely time at Fed Ex but the 757 will always stay in our memories as 2nd to only the queen of the skies herself,Concorde.G-CPET (in full retro livery),G-CPEN and G-CPEL (both devoid of titles and livery) remain at the BA maintenance base at Heathrow at least for a few months so whoever missed their chance to photograph G-CPET in retro livery have one last chance before she's turned into a FE freighter

  • The aircraft will still have to depart LHR one final time. Whether it flies out devoid of titles and tail colours like the other 757s remains to be seen. Would be a shame. They should park it at Hatton Cross til then.

Amazing video of G-CPET taking off from MAN, search :

BA retro livery Boeing 757-236 G-CPET

  • The last PASSENGER CARRYING flight will now be on 6th Nov 2010 Departing 1300. Charity auction for BA staff and families. 160 seats at min £100 bid each. Flight is 90 minutes, returning to LHR 1430.

  • Aaaaaahhh.......that's such a shame! were there not enough bookings or something?

Do you know if it will depart as a scheduled flight or private?

    Thanks for the update =)

  • The LHR-MAN-LHR on 6th Nov is canx. It was an Ian Allan aviation tour but didn't attract enough interest. G-CPET will still have one final takeoff from LHR but probably devoid of the British titles.
