God I love the Matallicar, and according to The Official Supernatural webbie, and, you know us fan love to know everything lol, they used 5 '67 Chevrolets, one thats permenantly with a green screen behind it, two they drive, one thats all smashed up and one thats realitively banged up :p

I heard that the 5 cars have names too. The original one is Hunter and the newest is the Civilian. Pretty damn cool :)

I just noticed that i think they're using a few different models. Best i can tell the 1969 and 1967 Impalas. In certain shots the body is slightly different and the Chevrolet tag on the right hand side of the grill is sometimes gone and sometimes there.

In the very beginning of the show they "said" they had a '65 and a '67 but I think as the show progressed they have only used the '67.

last night they filmed car scenes right on my street for ep. 8 of season 4

ACKKK i was in toughing distance of it TWICE! my dad, my friend and i actually drove after it down the road!

oh and we were talking to some of the set people and there going to be a halloween episode! also thye said episode 8 is really strange, like kinda quirky or somthing

I think I heard in an interview that they use '67s AND '69s..... Love the vid, the Metallicar needs more vids like this, she's the third main character in Supernatural! I love the Impala as much as I love Sam and Dean! =D
