Balavannan Sivakumar

Reports states, the murdered youth by drowning in the sea at the Colombo, Bambalapitiya yesterday is identified as a Tamil resident of Ratmalana named 26 years old Balavannan Sivakumar, by his brother.
Police Media spokesman informed the police who was identified by camera clips today surrendered to the police.

The Tamil youth is a mental patient. According to eyewitness evidence, the said youth, had been pelting stones to the vehicles which were travelling in the highway at Bambalapitiya and even he had pelted stones to the military vehicle. This resulted the vehicle being stopped. At this time, the youth had jumped to the railway track and while a train was proceeding, he too had stoned the train; hence the train was immediately stopped.
Due to this the youth being a mental patient, jumped to the sea. In this situation, two civilians and a policeman had too jumped to the sea, and started to assault the youth mercilessly.

The Television camera focused two people were assaulting the youth un-mercilessly and the youth to escape from the attacks had been worshiping to stop them assaulting him. But the assaults continued by the persons, and they did not allow the youth to come to the shore, by continuously hitting him hence to escape the attacks, the youth without any option had gone to the mid sea, which clearly shows in the video clips. The massive sea waves had pulled him which caused this tragic death was much revealed from the video clips.

The death of the youth who had been suffering of mental sickness died due to severe assaults and forcible drowning is much established is according to sources
